Something that was really awesome about Brazil was that there were a bunch of songs (Gilberto & Getz) that every Brazilian knew. And when somebody would perform them, everybody would sing along. It made me really wish I could speak Portuguese and sing along.
I was also once at this party with a bunch of Germans and they sang 99 Red balloons. That was pretty awesome too.
Last month, I was in the local (in the hood) Ralph's in the fresh produce and there was Alicia Keys playing. I forget which song. I wanted to sing along. I know all the lyrics, but being me, I held back. There was a woman shopping among the tubers that didn't hold back though.
